Why do liberals want to tell consenting adults who they can and can't marry?

A married gay does not have one single right that a single gay does not have. Some might say forcing employers to insure a gay lover is a right but even in a civil union that can be done. So it is not a fight for rights. Rights are also not obtained by getting a license-except if you are a Liberal-you might think that because of their way of seeing rights.
