How do I find a surrogate?

I want to have a baby but I have epilepsy, which is caused by legions in my brain called Cavernous Angiomas. If I become pregnant, there is a high chance these legions can hemorrhage and if this happens, it can cause me to have fits which could harm any baby I may have. This is a hereditary condition in my family and seems to skip a generation each time. For example, my grandfather has it. He and my nana had my dad who doesn't have them, but then when my parents had me, I got it. I really want a baby but don't want to harm him/her during the pregnancy because if I have fits, I would feel responsible if anything bad happened to the baby, so I thought about surrogacy. I'm doing research into this before I decide on anything but wondered if there is anyone who has used a surrogate before and what the process is? Any help would be great. Thanks =)
